Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling you to work from the comfort of your home while still delivering high-quality care through our telehealth facility. Our practice hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (PST), allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to eating disorders and any co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, incorporating client input to set realistic and achievable recovery goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to facilitate client growth.
  • Lead engaging therapy sessions that tackle distorted beliefs about food, body image, and self-esteem, fostering a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.
  • Support clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms, emotional regulation strategies, and concrete plans to combat disordered eating behaviors.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive and continuous care tailored to each client’s holistic needs.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to aid in the understanding of eating disorders and the dynamics of recovery.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular team meetings, case reviews, and professional development workshops to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed on the latest in eating disorder treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with individuals facing a variety of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. You will play a critical role in restoring balance to their lives by addressing complex psychological challenges associated with these conditions. Your expertise in understanding the intricate relationship between mental health and eating behaviors will be vital in guiding clients towards healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience employing evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT.
  • A strong grasp of the complexities surrounding eating disorders and the various co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
Preferred Experience
