Job description

Position Overview: The IBM System Programmer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM z/OS systems and related software. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe environments, particularly with z/OS and associated technologies. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems and subsystems.
  • Manage and support ZOSMF and SMP/E environments.
  • Perform dump analysis to diagnose and resolve system issues.
  • Provide technical expertise in Assembler language for system-level coding and debugging.
  • Maintain and support Broadcom Top Secret security system to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Oversee CICS installation, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Generate and analyze SMF reports for performance monitoring and system tuning.
  • Utilize SAS and MXG for advanced data analysis and reporting.
  • Manage and support Broadcom program products such as CA 1, CA 7, and Endevor.
  • Ensure robust network connectivity and troubleshoot networking issues in mainframe environments.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM z/OS systems.
  • Proficiency in ZOSMF and SMP/E installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Assembler language and dump analysis.
  • Expertise in Broadcom CA-Top Secret highly preferred
  • Experience with CICS installation, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience with SMF reporting, SAS, and MXG.
  • Familiarity with Broadcom products like CA 1, CA 7, and Endevor.
