How would you contribute?
As the Account Manager (WI), you are key to the continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for representing all facets of the sales organization with a goal to represent the business commercially with respect to the sales, business development, and services of injection molded containers and lids. This includes working with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to understand the management of a sales territory and pipeline, hunting and farming sales opportunities, and organic and new business growth.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Manage the sales and growth of an assigned region
  • Maintain a constant search for organic sales opportunities with existing customers by utilizing and enhancing Airlite's current packaging portfolio.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and business growth opportunities.
  • As directed by the VP of Sales and Marketing, implement targeted new customer acquisition strategies into actionable plans to achieve profitable growth within the assigned region.
  • Leverage Airlite's portfolio and operations strategy to meet the rapidly changing consumer trends.
  • Support internal and external teams to influence account objectives and support inside sales initiatives.
  • Work closely on margin mix improvement initiatives to ensure year-over-year region growth in profitability.
  • Attain and maintain maximum possible selling prices.
  • Improve business earnings and cash flow through price implementation, cost reduction, volume mix change, inventory management and timely accounts receivable.
  • Resolve account service and quality issues through the appropriate coordination with internal and external teams to maintain best in class customer relations.
  • Be abreast of our competitor's technology and strategy in the industry.
  • Support a culture of growth and efficiency with total and absolute focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities but is responsible for the daily management of an assigned sales territory. This includes working with cross functional teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business administration, or related field, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience selling packaging to consumer-packaged goods customers preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and negotiate.
  • Ability to deliver communication in a tactful and mature manner to a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of a variety of negotiation techniques and strategies.Ability to tailor appropriate persuasion or negotiation styles for the situation.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to internal and external customers.
  • Advanced computer skills - (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook as a minimum)
  • Must be able to work as a team in collaboration with the team.
  • Must be able to travel domestically approximately 40%-50% of the time.
