About the Role micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to hire PhDs for projects that demand deep subject-matter expertise. Whether your field is technical (STEM) or humanities (English, literature, journalism), you'll apply research-grade rigor to evaluating and improving AI model reasoning.


Scope of Work

  1. Evaluate AI model responses in your field for accuracy, depth, and reasoning quality
  2. Create expert-level prompts, reference answers, and detailed critiques
  3. Apply academic rigor to identify subtle errors and shallow reasoning
  4. Help define expert-level performance standards for AI systems


Preferred Qualifications

  1. PhD from a reputable university in a technical field, English, literature, or journalism
  2. Undergraduate degree from a well-known university
  3. 1+ year of professional work experience, including experience within the past 7 years
  4. Based in an English-speaking country
  5. Excellent written English and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
