• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to better understand patients' unique experiences and background.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with individual patient needs using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on mental health concerns while promoting resilience and emotional well-being among patients.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring comprehensive safety plans are in place.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, community resources, and coping strategies.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions to stay updated on best practices.

• Engage in continual learning regarding current research and emerging trends in mental health therapy.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia.

• A profound understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment practices, and the importance of cultural competence in providing therapy.

• Proficient in delivering both individual and group therapy using culturally responsive techniques.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software applications.

• A deep commitment to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and professional boundaries.

• A proven ability to collaborate seamlessly as part of a multidisciplinary team.

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with experience providing mental health services to diverse populations, particularly in outpatient settings, will be prioritized. Experience in integrating cultural competence into therapeutic practices will be highly valued.
