Job Title: Senior Accountant


Job Type: Full-time


Location: Remote


Job Summary:


We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our general ledger and month-end close processes. You will be part of our financial reporting function — ensuring books are accurate, close timelines are met, and the integrity of our financial data supports confident decision-making at every level of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  2. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  4. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are substantiated and documented
  5. Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations
  6. Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy
  7. Partner with leadership to ensure financial data is audit-ready and decision-ready at all times
  8. Maintain and strengthen internal controls around the close and reporting cycle


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred
  2. 3-5 years of accounting experience with a clear focus on G/L and month-end close
  3. Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting system
  4. Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel
  5. Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
  6. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight close deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  8. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment


Preferred Qualifications:


  1. CPA license, or progress toward professional certification
  2. Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows


Compensation & Benefits Notice


The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $90,000 –$120,000 USD.
