Position Overview

We are seeking an HR Summer Intern for a 3-month internship supporting HR, recruiting, and talent acquisition activities. This role is based in Chicago, IL and is 100% remote, with an expected schedule of 20 hours per week.

The internship pays $16/hour - $17/hr and includes eligibility for a performance-based bonus structure tied to recruiting support, job posting activity, candidate screening, and overall contribution to hiring goals.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with 0–2 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, recruiting, staffing, business administration, or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in the recruiting process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and post job openings across recruiting platforms and job boards.
  • Review resumes and screen candidates based on role requirements.
  • Identify qualified candidates and summarize candidate fit for open positions.
  • Support candidate sourcing through LinkedIn, job boards, and other recruiting tools.
  • Maintain organized candidate records and assist with tracking recruiting activity.
  • Help coordinate communication between recruiters, candidates, and internal team members.
  • Assist with early-stage candidate screening and recruiting follow-up.
  • Support general HR, talent acquisition, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling candidate and company information.
Required Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, recruiting, staffing, or a related area.
  • Interest in human resources, recruiting, talent management, or business operations.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to review resumes and identify relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
