Job description

Job Title: HR Service Specialist Location: Baltimore, Maryland Type: Contract Compensation: $31.90 Work Model: Remote – offsite Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Respond to general associate inquiries about human resources programs, procedures, and policies as the initial point of contact (Tier 1 support).
  • Assist functional teams daily to ensure all customer requests are handled in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Manage the intake process for employee inquiries and work towards timely resolutions.
  • Maintain information systems and process necessary paperwork, such as severance and telework documentation.
  • Update and maintain support documentation used by HR, Shared Services, and Employees to ensure relevance and current content.
  • Gather feedback to identify opportunities for HR process improvements and share insights with the HR Shared Services team.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company-specific policies and practices.
  • Act as a liaison with functional areas within HR to ensure understanding of processes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • At least 3 years of related experience in customer service, HR onboarding, or as an HR technician/analyst/generalist
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation, benefits, employee relations, immigration, performance management, and employment laws
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Must use own equipment and be able to work remotely
  • Licenses/Certifications: HR: PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred)
