Job description

Employee Relations Partner I

Advantage Solutions is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.

The Employee Relations Partner I serves as an entry-level professional within the Employee Relations team, responsible for supporting day-to-day employee relations activities and managing Tier 1 workplace investigations. This role is designed for individuals developing their expertise in employee relations and provides a foundational experience in handling routine and lower-complexity matters.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Tier 1 investigations by performing initial fact finding and resolving straightforward workplace concerns and termination recommendations independently and with guidance as appropriate

  • Serve as point of contact for employee relations inquiries received via phone, email, or ticketing systems and escalate complex matters to senior partners as appropriate

  • Maintain accurate documentation of employment actions and investigation outcomes within case management systems to support compliance and reporting

  • Provide administrative support including preparing standard separation agreements and coordinating final pay processes

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred)

  • Experience Requirements: 2–4 years experience in relevant field (Human resources or employee relations experience preferred)

  • Travel requirement: No travel requirements

Supervisor Responsibility

  • Direct Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

  • Indirect Reports: Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills

  • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work effectively with management

  • Ability to analyze data and research issues

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

  • Proficiency in common business productivity tools

Environmental & Physical Requirements


Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
