React Architect

Knak Digital

Dallas, TX โ€ข Remote

Full-time

Posted 17 days ago

Job description

This company builds some of the most visible open source projects in the commercial React space. This role owns that face: you're the technical voice clients and the community see when the work ships.

You'll sit inside project teams building websites and web applications for clients from day one through delivery. That means pre-sales conversations, requirements gathering, hands-on development, testing, and everything in between. You'll set the technical direction and work with the team to build it right. Expect to work closely with project managers, backend developers, designers, and QA, and to run weekly update calls directly with client stakeholders.

What you bring

Required:

  • 5+ years of real-world experience, bachelor's degree preferred but not a dealbreaker
  • 3-5 years deep in React and the JS ecosystem around it (Redux or similar state management, HTML, JS, CSS)
  • Experience leading or mentoring other developers
  • Solid Git practices
  • You know how to deploy React in production, not just build it locally
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility standards
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-output environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience with decoupled architectures
  • Exposure to CRM/AMS systems or middleware
  • Full stack range, front and back end
  • Open source contributions
  • Prior leadership or management experience
  • SEO or design interest

Who does well here: people who pay attention to detail, communicate clearly under pressure, and can go from a client conversation to writing the code themselves. You'll need to prioritize when priorities shift mid-project, and stay level-headed when things get messy.

Remote. Must be authorized to work in the US.
