Role Description
The GTM Engineer is the technical and creative engine behind ZRGโs outbound performance. Youโll lead the delivery of outbound email campaigns that generate qualified meetings for clients โ combining Clay data engineering, AIโenhanced campaign creation, and creative marketing instincts to build systems that consistently produce results.
Youโll own the full outbound workflow: prospect list sourcing, enrichment, targeting logic, signalโbased workflows, cold email sequence creation, and continuous optimization. This role blends technical execution, data engineering, and creative outbound strategy, making it ideal for someone who can think like a marketer and operate like an engineer.

ResponsibilitiesCampaign Engineering
- Build targeted, highโperforming cold email campaigns that generate qualified meetings
- Write cold email sequences using frameworks, signals, and creative angles
- Test, optimize, and iterate to maintain strong reply and meeting rates
- Ensure consistent delivery of qualified meetings across all clients
List & Data Engineering
Source, enrich, and validate ICPโaligned prospect lists (Clay, Apify, Apollo, scrapers)
Build highly targeted ICPโaligned lists with segmentation and prioritization
Ensure data accuracy, structure, deduping, and validation
AIโDriven GTM Innovation
Use AI prompting for research, angles, personalization, and testing
Build new outbound workflows and GTM systems that improve performance
Innovate across data, messaging, and workflow design
Clay Workflow Development
Build advanced Clay workflows using signals (hiring, funding, tech stack, job changes, content)
Create multiโstep automations, conditional logic, and enrichment pipelines
Implement lead scoring, prioritization, and TAM segmentation
Automate repetitive tasks to save hours and improve operational efficiency
Operational Ownership
Maintain deliverability, domain health, and sending infrastructure
Diagnose performance issues early and implement improvements
Ensure campaigns launch on time and meet performance benchmarks
Qualifications
2+ years writing cold email campaigns
2+ years building workflows, tables, and signals in Clay (Required)
Strong AI prompting and AIโassisted marketing skills
Experience with listโbuilding tools (Apify, Apollo.io, scrapers, etc.)
Deep understanding of outbound signals and relevance frameworks
Knowledge of deliverability and sending best practices
Creative, strategic thinker with strong outbound instincts
Ability to diagnose, optimize, and scale outbound performance
