JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Sonar Research and Development Division (SRDD) of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking undergraduate student interns. The SRDD is providing technical expertise to the government in all aspects of SONAR technologies.

Typical duties may include:

  • Support piezoelectric material processing
  • Characterization, production and procurement for fleet transducers
  • Support for transducer modeling, fabrication, and documentation
  • Support for acoustic testing, data analysis, and data display.

Multiple opportunities exist for undergraduate students to support this effort. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.

This is a paid internship located at ARL's Freeport facility; relocation and housing are not provided.

Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
