**Position Overview

**

We are seeking an experienced Construction Specialist to support Client’s outside plant (OSP) construction projects throughout the Jackson, MS region. This is a field-based position responsible for performing quality audits on completed telecom construction work involving both coaxial (HFC) and fiber optic networks.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in telecom construction who are comfortable working independently, traveling throughout the assigned territory, and ensuring construction work meets quality and engineering standards.

Approximately 80% of the role is field work conducting construction audits, while 20% involves administrative work from a home/remote office to complete documentation, update project records, and receive additional assignments.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Perform quality audits on completed telecom construction projects across assigned territories.

  • Inspect outside plant infrastructure including:

  • Verify completed construction meets engineering and quality standards.

  • Identify construction deficiencies and communicate required corrective actions to business partners and contractors.

  • Review completed rework and verify repairs have been completed accurately and on time.

  • Complete audit documentation and close out completed assignments.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, and P2 for daily reporting and project tracking.

  • Participate in Teams meetings and communicate directly with contractors and business partners as needed.

  • Remain available during normal business hours to assist with troubleshooting and clearing completed inspections.

  • Manage multiple audit assignments across various locations while working independently.

**Required Qualifications

**

  • Experience with both coax (HFC) and fiber optic telecom construction.

  • Experience in outside plant (OSP), broadband, cable, or telecom construction.

  • Ability to read and interpret telecom construction/design prints.

  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

  • Reliable personal transportation.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel when required.

**Preferred Qualifications

**

  • Network Maintenance Technician experience.

  • Experience performing telecom construction quality inspections or field audits.

  • Experience working with telecom contractors and business partners.

  • Experience using Smartsheet and P2.

**Travel Requirements

**

  • Frequent travel throughout the Jackson, MS territory is required.

  • Some project locations may be 3 to 4 hours from the assigned area.

  • Overnight travel may be required, with hotel accommodation arranged by Client.

  • Mileage reimbursement is provided.
