Job description

Paralegal with Carta Software Experience

Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week

Pay Rate: $50/hour DOE

Job Location: Remote


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our client’s team on a part-time basis. The ideal

candidate will have a strong background in equity management, stock option administration,

and proficiency in using Carta software. This role will involve supporting the legal team in

managing equity-related matters, conducting maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance in

equity management processes.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Equity Management: Utilize Carta software to manage and maintain equity management

system. Update

and accurately track equity ownership, stock options, vesting schedules, and other equity/related

information.

2. Stock Option Administration: Assist in the administration of stock option plans, including the

issuance of

options, tracking exercises, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. Data Management: Maintain accurate and organized records related to equity ownership,

transactions,

and compliance documents. Perform data entry and validation tasks as needed.

4. Compliance and Reporting: Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory

requirements for

equity management. Generate reports and assist in conducting periodic audits to verify data

accuracy.

5. Clean-up Tasks: Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in equity data and work with

relevant teams to

clean up and reconcile records.

6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to equity transactions,

agreements, and

other legal documents.

7. Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to

facilitate

communication related to equity matters.


Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on equity management and stock option

administration.

• Proficiency in using Carta software is essential.

• Knowledge of equity laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Relevant paralegal certification or degree.


Part-Time Schedule:

This is a part-time position, and the candidate is expected to work approximately 10-15 hours

per week. The specific schedule can be negotiated based on the candidate's availability and the
