The Opportunity:

FedEx Dataworks is creating a new market category in supply chain intelligence. We are looking for a pioneering individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager Principal on our Commercial team. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor, shaping the future of our commercial engagement model by leading our strategic pilot program for our new platform, NOVA.

Your Mission:

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing a portfolio of foundational "innovation partnerships" with key enterprise customers. Your mission is to secure and manage strategic pilots that demonstrate the immense value of our data and platforms, creating the reference customers and in-market proof points that will serve as the bedrock of our future growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify and engage prospective enterprise partners who are ideal candidates for our strategic pilot program.
  • Articulate the compelling vision of co-creation and joint innovation, building C-level relationships built on trust and strategic alignment.
  • Structure and negotiate pilot program agreements, defining scope, success criteria, and commercial terms for post-pilot expansion.
  • Act as the single point of contact and trusted advisor for our pilot partners, managing the entire relationship from initial conversation to successful pilot completion and handover.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to channel partner feedback, directly influencing the product roadmap.
  • Document learnings, playbooks, and success stories from the pilot program to create the blueprint for our future commercial organization.

Who You Are:

  • You have 7+ years of experience in enterprise business development, strategic account management, or early-stage enterprise sales within the technology, SaaS, or data analytics space.
  • Ideally coming from a background in enterprise data-to-insights-to action solutions, decision-orchestration software or enterprise ontologies, or supply chain solutions
  • You are a master relationship builder who is comfortable engaging with executive-level stakeholders and navigating complex enterprise organizations or partnering within complex digital data environments
  • You thrive in ambiguity and are excited by the opportunity to build something new, comfortable creating your own playbook where one doesn't exist.
  • You possess a rare blend of strategic thinking and relentless execution, capable of both seeing the big picture and managing the details of a complex pilot engagement.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Business or related field.

Minimum Experience:

7+ years of experience in enterprise business development, strategic account management, or early-stage enterprise sales within the technology, SaaS, or data analytics space.
