Job description

This is acontractposition for a Mental Health Professional Clinicianwhose independent license isactive in the state of Washington and who has a minimum of 1 year of experience.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  • Contractor is an independent contractor and is not an employee, agent, partner, or jointventurerofAgency.Contractorshall be solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, withholdings, business expenses, insurance, licensing fees, and other obligations arising from compensation paid under this Agreement.Contractorshall not be eligible for employee benefits, including but not limited to health insurance, paid leave, retirement benefits, unemployment insurance, or workers' compensation coverage through Agency. Contractorretainscontrol over the manner and means of performing the services, subject to applicable laws, payer requirements, clinical documentation standards, and Agency compliance policies.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical intakes and assessments todetermineclient needs, eligibility for services, and level of care.
  • Provideaccurateandtimelydiagnostic evaluationsin accordance withcurrent clinical standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Complete andsubmitwritten evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic reports asrequiredto support clinical decision-making and service authorization.
  • Ensure all assessments and diagnoses are documented thoroughly, accurately, and in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participatein reassessment and diagnostic review processes as needed to ensure continued medical necessity andappropriate levelof care.
  • Maintaincompliance with all applicable documentation, charting, and coding requirements related to assessment and diagnosisin accordance withregulatory entities.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUS

  • The Contractor is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Agency. Contractor willimmediatelynotify Sunriseof license discipline, investigation, suspension, restriction, arrest/conviction relevant to care, or exclusion
  • Contractor willmaintainrequired CEUs and credentials
  • Contractormust successfully complete all required background checks before providing services. Contractor shallimmediatelynotify Agencyof any new criminal charge, conviction, founded finding, exclusion, or other matter that may affect eligibility to provide services

COMPENSATION

  • Flat Rate:$125 per completed assessment.A "completed assessment" means an assessment that has been fully conducted, accurately documented in the Agency's EHR, signed by Contractor, submitted within required timelines, and accepted by Agency as complete, clinically appropriate, and compliant with payer, regulatory, and Agency documentation standards.
  • Agency may withhold, delay, or deny payment for assessments that are incomplete, inaccurate, untimely, not medically necessary, not properly documented, not signed, not compliant with applicable requirements, or not accepted for billing.

COMPLIANCE & CONFIDENTIALITY

  • Contractor shallcomply withall applicable HIPAA, HITECH, 42 CFR Part 2 if applicable, Washington State confidentiality laws, Agency privacy policies, and all requirementsset forth inthe Business Associate Agreement attached to this Agreement. Contractor shallimmediatelyreport any suspected or actual unauthorized use, disclosure, loss, breach, or security incident involving protected health information.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Liability (Malpractice) Minimum: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate
  • Mustbe active at all times
  • Must cover clinical services, telehealth, documentation errors, and board complaints

CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold an active Washington State DOH credential (LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent independent license) and have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Have internet access and a device to access EHR.
  • Maintainlicensein good standing.
  • Successfully pass required background checks.
  • Provide culturallyappropriate carecertification.
  • Submita Clinician Disclosure Statement.
  • Be competent in telehealth services.
  • Complete EHR documentation within72 hours.
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant remote workspace.
  • ProvideW-9 form.
  • Providedirect deposit form.
