Comfort of Home Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team. This position is completely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while still staying connected to our caring team. Our fully integrated virtual environment utilizes advanced electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to streamline client management and communication. You'll be part of a dynamic team where you can share insights and strategies with fellow mental health professionals while focusing on the essential aspects of patient care.

• Conduct initial mental health evaluations through thorough preliminary interviews, documenting findings that guide the treatment process from first contact to the completion of therapy.
• Assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, utilizing evidence-based practices to create comprehensive treatment plans.
• Design and implement therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a tailored and impactful approach to recovery.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques suited to client needs.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress toward established treatment goals, making adjustments as necessary to optimize their path to recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to create cohesive intervention strategies.
• Maintain a proactive follow-up system with clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and addressing further needs.
• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges faced by loved ones.

Our client base at Comfort of Home Counseling Center encompasses a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences. We focus on providing effective mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families, addressing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our counselors work collaboratively with clients to create a safe space that fosters trust and encourages open communication.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated previous experience in providing mental health counseling services.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems; familiarity with AVATAR is a plus.
• Understanding of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, particularly in addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
• Empathetic personality coupled with extraordinary interpersonal skills, fostering supportive client relationships.

• Experience working with diverse populations, including culturally sensitive approaches to therapy.
• Specialization in certain areas of mental health, such as trauma-informed care, adolescent therapies, or family dynamics.
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their effects, playing a crucial role in integrated care.
