A Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct, compassionate bedside care and comfort measures to terminally ill patients, primarily focusing on pain management, symptom control, and emotional support for patients and families. Working under RN supervision, they implement the established plan of care, document patient changes, and assist with daily living tasks in homes or facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care: Performs skilled nursing interventions, including wound care, medication administration, and monitoring vitals to manage pain and symptoms.
  • Documentation: Maintains accurate, timely clinical notes in electronic medical records regarding patient condition changes.
