This full-time role offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while serving clients from our community health clinic in Waldorf, Maryland. This remote position provides work-life balance, allowing you to manage your professional responsibilities from your home office while contributing to the mental well-being of our clients. Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing structure and consistency to your workday. We utilize telehealth technology to ensure seamless communication and care delivery to our patients.

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, accommodating their unique backgrounds and circumstances.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into account their goals and preferences for the therapeutic process.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
• Provide education and guidance to clients and their families about treatment options, fostering a supportive environment that encourages communication and understanding.
• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure the effectiveness of care.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging research and best practices in mental health counseling and treatment methodologies.
• Document client interactions and treatment plans accurately, adhering to legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.
• Participate regularly in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning.
• Advocate for the needs of your clients, promoting the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and highlighting the importance of mental wellness.

Your focus will primarily be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will work with a diverse population that requires sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach, ensuring that all clients feel understood and supported.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid mental health counseling licensure in the state of Maryland, such as LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT.
• Solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, particularly CBT and DBT, and their application in treating mood disorders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Strong record-keeping skills and familiarity with documentation processes and compliance with ethical standards in mental health practice.

• Prior experience working with patients dealing with mood disorders and a proven ability to deliver effective treatments.
• Experience using telehealth platforms and technologies for providing remote counseling services.
• Familiarity with case management practices and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Stride Health Care Inc. offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
