This Position reports to:

Application Engineering Manager - Industries Robotics


As a Welding Applications Engineer you'll be partnering with our sales teams in the East (Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast) you will work on supporting our weld related products, and work on proof-of-concepts, cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configure robotic solutions for welding applications.

The work model for this role is: Remote-home office and have up to 35% of travel in the region listed. Ideal candidate would be based in the Philadelphia market but near a major metro airport is feasible in another state.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions.

  • Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers.

  • Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements.

  • Collaborate with customers, internal teams and potentially third party to address any issues, handle any changes in proposal or other documentation and alignment on requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in engineering or engineering technology with 5 years in Robotic Welding or Associates and 8 years

  • Offline programming such as Robot Studio or similar

  • Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers as well as peer teams (sales, project management, etc.)

  • Ability to read welding drawings, understand welding industry codes and knowledge of welding processes (laser, plasma, etc.) desirable.

  • Automation engineering knowledge is desirable.
