Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' family dynamics and individual mental health issues with a compassionate approach.
  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions via telehealth platforms, guiding clients to uncover underlying issues that contribute to their relational or emotional distress.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, fostering healing and promoting mental wellness for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and goals, adapting strategies as progress is monitored.
  • Create detailed reports and documentation that support the therapeutic process and can be used as reliable expert evidence when necessary.
  • Provide expert testimony in legal cases when required, ensuring clarity and professionalism in your contributions to support clients' interests.
  • Advise clients on stabilizing their home environment and educational provisions, collaborating with families to initiate necessary changes.
  • Continuously evaluate clients' progress and adapt interventions as needed, nurturing individual mental health while aiming for cohesive family well-being.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will predominantly focus on a diverse range of clients, including families, couples, and individuals, who may be experiencing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, grief, and adjustment disorders. You will be responsible for creating a safe and accepting space for clients to explore their issues, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence in your therapeutic practices.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada is required.
  • Completion of a masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of supervised clinical experience post-graduation, fulfilling state-required clinical hours.
  • Strong skills in assessment and evaluation to identify mental health issues and effectively address clientsโ€™ concerns.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques applicable to individual, couples, and family therapy.
