Key Responsibilities

The LPC will have a varied set of responsibilities aimed at ensuring comprehensive care for our patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough patient intakes to assess diagnostic and functional needs, formulating recommendations for treatment plans in collaboration with primary care providers.
  • Providing brief, focused interventions for individuals requiring immediate mental health support, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's unique situation.

  • Documenting detailed assessments and progress notes accurately in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with all agency and Federally Qualified Health Center guidelines.
  • Developing relapse prevention plans and supporting patients in recognizing at-risk behaviors to prevent crisis situations.
  • Fostering strong relationships with patients, their families, and community resources to provide a holistic support network.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed professional counselor at Oasis, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. Many of our clients come from marginalized communities and may face additional challenges related to socioeconomic status, making our role in providing accessible mental health services even more impactful. You will assist clients in navigating their personal mental health challenges and help stabilize their functioning through various therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

To qualify for the LPC position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of a Masterโ€™s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a closely related field.
  • Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License in the state of Colorado or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Thorough understanding of mental health assessment, treatment planning, and familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses.
  • Demonstrated ability to use various psychotherapy techniques, including behavioral therapy and family systems methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
