As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine relevant treatment options.
• Designing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, building coping skills, and promoting emotional healing.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated care for each client.
• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma, coping strategies, and available mental health resources.
• Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical requirements.
• Participating in case consultations and professional development initiatives to enhance trauma-informed care practices.
• Staying informed on current research and methodologies in trauma therapy to provide the most effective care possible.

The primary focus of your role will be serving individuals who have experienced trauma and require specialized support in their recovery. This includes those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clientele spans a diverse demographic, and you will have the chance to tailor interventions based on unique personal histories and needs, contributing to the restoration of their mental well-being.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in the state of California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care practices and knowledge of trauma-related disorders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by compassion, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, candidates with demonstrated expertise in trauma-focused therapeutic interventions will be given special consideration. Familiarity with current evidence-based practices and resilience-focused approaches is highly valued.
