Position Overview
The Tele-Interviewer is responsible for conducting scheduled telephone interviews within a call centre environment. This is a fully remote, permanent position available to candidates across Canada, offering benefits and a competitive hourly rate of $20.25/hour.

The role involves completing daily scheduled appointments ranging from 20–60 minutes, managing both inbound and outbound calls with insurance applicants, and collecting detailed information related to their lifestyle and medical history through structured questionnaires. The Tele-Interviewer ensures all information is accurately captured, documented, and processed while providing a professional and customer-focused experience.

The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams to maintain daily appointment schedules, meet quality standards, and support operational goals. Evening and weekend availability is required, with immediate openings available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Conduct detailed and professional telephone interviews with insurance applicants while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and a high level of customer service.
  • Collect, document, and verify applicant information related to medical history, lifestyle, and other required details using established questionnaires.
  • Complete scheduled interviews within the assigned timeframe while ensuring all required questions and processes are followed accurately.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach throughout each interaction, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
  • Ensure interview documentation is completed accurately, including reviewing information for spelling errors, missing details, and data accuracy.
  • Submit completed questionnaires promptly following each applicant interaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and cross-training opportunities to learn different insurance provider requirements and questionnaire formats.
  • Apply feedback received through quality assurance reviews to continuously improve interview techniques and overall performance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve productivity, accuracy, and service-level objectives.
  • Complete follow-up calls and additional outreach as required.
  • Handle inbound applicant inquiries and conduct outbound calls for interviews, scheduling, and applicant support.
  • Manage sensitive conversations professionally while addressing applicant questions, concerns, or challenges.
  • Provide assistance and support to team members through communication channels such as Microsoft Teams when required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute with strong accuracy.
  • Comfortable learning new processes, systems, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare, medical, insurance, or regulated environment is considered an asset.
