Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with stable, low acuity adults via video, ensuring a compassionate and ethical approach throughout.
• Utilize evidence-based, solution-focused treatment modalities to guide clients through their therapeutic journey.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that effectively address each client's unique mental health needs and circumstances.
• Encourage clients to explore their feelings, insights, and relational dynamics, fostering self-awareness and personal growth.
• Consistently monitor and evaluate client progress, helping them cultivate healthy coping mechanisms and strategies, aiming to enhance their quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing care for stable, low acuity adults presenting with an array of mental health challenges. These may include anxiety, depression, stress management, and life adjustments. As you guide clients in developing practical skills, you will contribute significantly to their independence and emotional resilience, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A Master's degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current state-issued mental health counseling license (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD) that allows independent practice. Please note that we do not provide supervision for limited or provisional licenses.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a compassionate approach to counseling.
• Strong computer and technical literacy, ensuring successful remote therapy sessions.
• Access to a reliable computer equipped with a webcam and audio capabilities for engaging video consultations.
• A dependable internet connection to maintain consistent client communications.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in remote counseling, diverse client populations, or specialized expertise in mental health treatments will find their background beneficial in this role. Prior experience in efficient electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar technologies is also advantageous.
