Lively Mental Health and Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Orange, California. The position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while utilizing telehealth platforms to reach clients effectively. Although you will operate from the comfort of your home, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow counselors, will be essential. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. As a remote therapist, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and communication with your team.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through telehealth sessions, gaining insights into clients’ needs, history, and challenges.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Lead virtual psychoeducational support groups, fostering community and engagement among individuals facing similar mental health struggles.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for each client.
• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, guiding clients toward immediate support and resources.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of client records.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to foster continuous learning.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy, integrating new knowledge into practical applications.

You will work with a diverse range of clients facing an array of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Our patient population reflects various backgrounds, which requires culturally competent care and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by each individual. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients find stability, resilience, and a path to recovery through tailored therapeutic interventions.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.
• Expertise in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, with a strong ability to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Proven track record of providing individual and group therapy to varied populations, demonstrating adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong ethical standards, professional boundaries, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and technology used in mental health care.
• A collaborative spirit, thriving in a team-oriented environment.

• Two or more years of experience in a clinical setting working with diverse client populations.
• Experience specifically in outpatient settings, with a focus on evidence-based psychotherapy.
• Familiarity with telehealth delivery models and remote patient care practices.
• Background in community mental health services is a plus, enhancing your understanding of available resources.
