Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting detailed case histories from initial consultations through the conclusion of therapy.
  • Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Create and implement intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting strategies to their unique circumstances.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based treatment modalities to foster client growth and self-awareness.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to coordinate client interventions.
  • Follow up with medical professionals regarding clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, emphasizing a proactive approach to mental health challenges.
  • Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers in managing associated mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse clientele ranges from children to seniors, encompassing a wide variety of mental health needs, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will tailor your therapeutic approach to effectively address these varying concerns, employing your skills to foster resilience and personal growth within each individual you serve.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
  • Successful completion of relevant examinations (e.g., National Counselor Exam - NCE, National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination - NCMHCE).
  • Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical insight and counseling strategies.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • In-depth knowledge of co-occurring physical and mental health issues, as well as addiction disorders, is highly desirable.
  • Awareness of best practices per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with superior interpersonal skills that facilitate effective client engagement.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
