Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Provide empathetic counseling services to adults struggling with emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and stress management.
• Guide clients in expressing their feelings and experiences, which fosters self-awareness and leads to healthier relationships.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify mental health disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices to evaluate symptoms and needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical evaluations, employing a solution-focused approach to meet individual client goals.
• Monitor client progress throughout the therapy process and adapt treatment methods as necessary, ensuring effective coping strategies are taught and utilized.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on adult clients, with a specific emphasis on those presenting lower acuity mental health needs. All clients are screened thoroughly to ensure they are stable and suitable for remote counseling, thus allowing you to concentrate on providing quality care without overwhelming caseloads. Your expertise will play a significant role in facilitating positive therapeutic outcomes for these individuals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• A valid independent license in Illinois, such as LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.
• Strong computer skills are essential, as you will navigate various telehealth tools and platforms to deliver effective counseling.
• Demonstrated ability in evaluations, decision-making, and developing personalized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.

Preferred Experience

We highly value professionals who bring:

• At least 2 years of counseling experience in a similar remote setting.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000–104,000 annually, accompanied by a substantial sign-on bonus. In addition, we provide:
