Blomquist Hale Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. This full-time position plays a pivotal role in delivering specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, helping to facilitate their recovery and promote emotional wellbeing.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing our therapists to deliver care via telehealth options that promote flexibility and accessibility. As part of a collaborative telehealth team, the therapist will work within a structure that emphasizes trauma-informed care, drawing upon innovative technology to facilitate effective treatment and maintain consistent communication with patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma backgrounds, ensuring the development of personalized treatment strategies.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing their trauma, learning coping mechanisms, and supporting their healing journey.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, fostering integrated treatment strategies.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support in response to trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and care continuity.
  • Educate patients and families regarding trauma responses, useful coping strategies, and available resources, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions aligned with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in providing mental health therapy, particularly in settings that emphasize trauma-informed care.
