Position Overview

Gather and Grow Counseling Center is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This role will primarily focus on providing mental health services in a remote school setting, catering to students and their families. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home while retaining a school-focused practice. You will engage with students, teachers, and parents through virtual platforms, maintaining a focus on accessibility and connection. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychological evaluations and assessments using evidence-based tools to determine client needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Provide individualized psychotherapy sessions to address psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, tailoring approaches to meet specific student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans and ensure continuity of care for clients.
  • Implement crisis intervention protocols, including providing immediate support during emergencies and conducting risk assessments, particularly regarding suicidal ideation.
  • Document all client interactions meticulously in our electronic health record system to maintain compliance and uphold the quality of care.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedure guides that foster best practices within our team.
  • Engage in regular staff meetings and attend workshops to enhance skills, share experiences, and discuss ongoing case management.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will work primarily with students from diverse backgrounds, including those facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. The LCSW will help clients develop coping strategies and resilience through targeted therapeutic practices focusing on their unique cultural and situational contexts.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and a current, valid LCSW license to practice in Virginia.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in clinical settings, providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of client demographics, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for conveying complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, enabling you to develop innovative strategies for client care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within an educational framework or with school-aged children and adolescents.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy best practices.
  • Background in crisis intervention and risk assessment specific to youth.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, a sign-on bonus will be provided to support your transition into our team. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
