• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify the mental health and substance use needs of clients, employing standardized assessment tools and techniques.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing cognitive-behavioral approaches and other therapeutic modalities to foster therapeutic relationships and promote healing.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation through secure electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Engage in regular collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team to discuss client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, participating in case reviews and planning meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, employing de-escalation techniques and supportive counseling to assist clients in acute distress.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

The clients you will serve encompass a wide array of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse issues. Many of our clients come from historically underserved populations, requiring a compassionate and culturally competent approach to care. You will play a crucial role in creating safe spaces where clients feel respected and valued as they navigate their personal journeys toward recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
• Candidates must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.
• At least two years of clinical experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services to clients in various settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and collaborate with colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a busy caseload efficiently.

• Experience utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or engagement initiatives is a plus.

The salary range for this position is USD 75,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
