Job description

The Tipton Agency (TA) is a comprehensive life insurance and retirement solutions provider.

WHAT do we do?

Here at TA, we are partnered with a national brokerage firm to help our clients find affordable and trustable insurance, get out of debt, and protect their retirement.

HOW do we do it?

We have a NATIONWIDE inventory of leads from prospective clients who are requesting our help in finding them the best financial protection for their personal situation. We partner with our “in-house product specialists” to determine what they might qualify for based on the information they’ve provided such as their age and health conditions, as well as financial responsibilities and goals.

We respond to these clients' requests by calling to verify the information they provided and scheduling an appointment to go over their options.

We get choose HOW we meet with clients, whether it be over the phone, Zoom meeting rooms, in the comfort of their home, or even over a shared meal! You can meet with clients remotely, in-person, or a mix of both (hybrid).

Once the client(s) select their coverage and/or investment plans, we assist them by logging in to our sales platform and submitting the proper applications for underwriting.

Upon approval, you’ll receive a commission from the carrier for the business you submitted DIRECTLY to your bank account. Some of our carriers also offer instant approval which means you can get paid THE VERY NEXT DAY!

What is the PAY?

This is a 100% fully uncapped commission position and our carriers pay WELL.

There are no income caps or minimum quotas. New, average part-time agents typically earn $3,000-$5,000 per month in commission for 15-20 hours of work per month (around six policies), equating to approximately $70,000 per year. Unlicensed agents with no prior experience often start part-time on their own schedule before transitioning to full-time after training. Full-time average agents earn $15,000-$17,000 per month in deposits (15-20 placed policies), equating to $150,000-$200,000 per year. Passive agency income would be additional to these personal production averages. The brokerage and carriers offer bonuses and reward trips.

It is an uncapped earnings position so if you want to make more money, all you have to do is meet with more clients! Our carriers also WANT us to do business with them, so they often offer bonuses, trips, and incentives. Your success and earnings are all dependent on the effort YOU put in.

Commissions/Compensation is typically received within 1-7 days of submitting an application and the policy being issued. No agent’s success, earnings, or production results should be viewed as typical, average, or expected. Not all agents achieve the same or similar results, and no particular results are guaranteed. Your level of success will be determined by several factors, including the amount of work you put in, your ability to successfully follow and implement our training and sales system and engage with our lead system, and the insurance needs of the customers in the geographic areas in which you choose to work.

WHY would you want to join our team?

We truly care about our clients and with the nature of our work, our clients often become like family. The service we provide our clients is important to them and they are seeking our professional help with the protection of their family and assets in mind, and so it’s important to us.

While we understand what a privilege and great income opportunity this has allowed us, we value our time more than anything. Time is a gift that one can give but can never take back. So time with family, time traveling, time pursuing your passions, time to create - whatever that looks like for you, we believe that we’re meant to live a life beyond work, sleep, and taxes.

  • Set your own schedule and work from anywhere (full remote accessibility)
  • Financial freedom and control over your income
  • Unparalleled mentorship from TOP industry leaders
  • Ongoing personal and professional development

WHO are we looking for?

We are looking for like-minded, passionate people, that are self-motivated and self-disciplined. This position is 1099 and you will BE YOUR OWN BOSS. While being an independent contractor does come with benefits like control over your own schedule, more free time, and financial freedom, it also comes with many responsibilities. We do offer unparalleled mentorship, but it’s your responsibility to SHOW UP FOR YOURSELF and do your job well (respond to client requests, show up for meetings with clients, utilize sales and training tools to achieve the level of success you desire - ASK FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED).

How to APPLY?

Apply within and complete the pre-screening questions.
