Description

Ortonville Area Health Services is seeking a Health Information Clerk to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and secure handling of patient health information across multiple departments and applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.ย 

Job Duties:

  • File and maintain health information accurately in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Respond to requests for health information in accordance with organizational policies and privacy regulations
  • Evaluate records for completeness and follow up on any deficienciesย 
  • Coordinate the timely receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing patient information while maintaining strict confidentiality standards
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient management of patient health information


Hours and Pay:ย 

  • 40 hours per week, typically Monday-Friday
  • ย Ability to work from home and flex hours after training is complete ย
