Job description

DATA ANALYST - RURAL HEALTH PROGRAM
You are required to live in New Mexico to be considered for this role.
Supports data management, reporting, and performance monitoring activities for statewide rural health transformation initiatives. Assists in development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and structured data products used to track program implementation and provider performance.
Performs data extraction, cleaning, validation, and analysis to support recurring reporting requirements and ad hoc requests. Maintains structured datasets and tracking systems aligned with program reporting and compliance needs.
Develops standard reports and visualizations to support performance monitoring across provider initiatives. Assists in identifying trends, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
Coordinates with data, technical assistance, and program teams to support data-driven decision-making. Contributes to preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for state and federal stakeholders.
Maintains organized, audit-ready documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting outputs. Supports continuous improvement of data processes and workflows.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, public health, health informatics, statistics, economics, or related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data management.
  • Experience working with Excel, SQL, R, SAS, or other data tools to manage and analyze datasets.
  • Experience developing reports or dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate and reconcile data across sources.
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, Medicaid, or public health programs preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and priorities in a structured environment.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$74,090.00 - $125,954.00
