Moody Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist to join our compassionate team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing culturally competent mental health services, focusing on the well-being and recovery of diverse patient populations. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining a focus on patient care through telehealth services. Working from home, you will utilize digital platforms to conduct therapy sessions, ensuring that every client is met with understanding, compassion, and professionalism. While the schedule is generally Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments that account for the diverse cultural backgrounds of our clients, formulating comprehensive treatment plans that address their unique experiences.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual clients, applying methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to explore mental health concerns, focusing on resilience building and skill development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to deliver coordinated care that meets the holistic needs of our patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during critical situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients while navigating their mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them with knowledge to manage their health effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, aligning with both legal and ethical standards, to support continuity of care and compliance.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training sessions to enhance cultural competency and professional development.
  • Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and cultural considerations that influence mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from various backgrounds, including but not limited to, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants facing unique challenges. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Maryland.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing culturally sensitive therapy and working effectively with marginalized populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a multicultural or community mental health setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and providing remote therapy services.
  • Specialized training in trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, or specific therapeutic modalities.
