The Head Start Youth Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This position operates in a fully remote setting, where you will work closely with a dynamic interdisciplinary team comprised of psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals. The outpatient mental health clinic fosters a collaborative culture, making regular team meetings and peer consultations essential for ensuring the highest standard of care. Your daily routine will integrate the latest telehealth technologies to facilitate therapy sessions, promote client engagement, and streamline communication with fellow team members.

• Conduct thorough consultations with medical team staff addressing various patient care scenarios, ensuring well-rounded treatment approaches.
• Manage and document clinical records accurately and timely within the required healthcare management systems.
• Accept and complete additional assignments that align with program goals to enhance service delivery.
• Participate actively in mental health committees and task forces to represent the organization and contribute to community mental health discussions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using specialized software, focusing on both individual and family counseling interventions.
• Provide individual psychotherapy to clients while offering marriage and family therapy tailored to the unique dynamics of each situation.
• Refer clients to appropriate services including group therapy, psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and substance abuse treatment.
• Effectively manage crisis situations, employing strategies to ensure client safety and stability.
• Engage in ongoing reviews of treatment progress with clients, adjusting care plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
• Perform non-patient care tasks such as documentation for insurance processing and other administrative responsibilities.
• Fulfill any additional duties as required by management.

The LMFT will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including children, teens, and families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. The clientele often experiences issues such as anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, trauma, and adjustment difficulties. As a therapist, your intervention will be crucial in fostering resilience, enhancing family communication, and guiding clients toward a healthier mental state.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Must hold active licensing as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy services in an outpatient setting is preferred.

• Experience with trauma-informed care practices and family systems theory.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Adeptness in crisis intervention techniques.

The offered salary for this position ranges between USD 90,000 and 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
