The Opportunity:

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. ("SEL") seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Software Engineer - Embedded Automation position located at our headquarters in Pullman, Washington.

Software Engineer - Embedded Automation (Multiple Openings)

Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer - Embedded Automation will build, test, and deploy firmware for critical power infrastructure and design and implement cutting-edge CI (continuous integration) / CD (continuous delivery/deployment) pipelines for embedded systems. The incumbent will apply the principles of computer engineering and computer science to: (1) troubleshoot and optimize build processes across Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms; (2) create tools and scripts that eliminate manual processes and accelerate development; (3) develop device emulation clouds and hardware-in-the-loop testing frameworks; (4) administer and optimize on-premise infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability; (5) perform systems analysis and design together with data analysis and design; (6) design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain SEL's Business Systems; (7) conduct design tests; (8) devise and modify procedures to solve problems taking into consideration computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results; (9) make software recommendations to management; (10) prepare and maintain test and design documentation; (11) participating in industry technical meetings and conferences as required to meet operational and strategic goals and stay abreast of industry developments relative to computer services; and (12) undertake to improve SEL's research and development processes and follow and improve the company's Information Services processes.

These positions will be based out of the company's headquarters in Pullman, Washington. These positions require regular on-site work at the Pullman office and do not permit remote work or work-from-home arrangements.

Salary Range: $122,600.00 - $128,600.00 per year.
