Ochsner Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation. This is a unique opportunity for a physician leader to step into a high-performing, nationally recognized program and help shape its next phase of growth, innovation, and clinical excellence.

The Ochsner Transplant Institute is the largest and most comprehensive transplant program in the Gulf South, and its kidney transplant program has built a strong national reputation for quality, collaboration, and forward-thinking care delivery. As a leader in robotic transplantation, including both donor nephrectomy and kidney transplantation, the program continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in transplant surgery. With a solid foundation, growing volume, and strong institutional support, the program is well-positioned for continued expansion in both scale and complexity.

The Medical Director will lead and oversee a team of four transplant nephrologists while working in close partnership with a highly experienced surgical team of ten transplant surgeons. Supported by a dedicated advanced practice provider team and a 24/7 inpatient coverage model, the program offers a strong and collaborative infrastructure.
