Job description

Are you a driven sales professional who loves autonomy, building relationships, and winning new business? GFL Environmental is expanding our Alabama Sales team, and we are looking for a hardworking Account Manager to join us!
This is a unique remote role that gives you the flexibility of working from home, but because relationships are the core of what we do, it requires frequent travel throughout your assigned territory. Because of this, candidates must be local to the Montgomery, AL area.
What You'll Do:
  • Grow & Protect: Promote, sell, and preserve GFL's solid waste services to commercial and industrial businesses across your territory.
  • Own Your Territory: Hit the road to meet face-to-face with current and prospective customers, assessing their needs and providing top-tier service.
  • Strategic Selling: Conduct waste stream analyses, prepare competitive sales contracts, and deliver killer presentations to major accounts.
  • Be the Face of GFL: Build deep community roots by participating in local business meetings, conferences, and civic organizations What We're Looking For:

What We're Looking For:
  • Location: Must reside in or around Montgomery, AL.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of proven sales experience (knowledge of the solid waste industry is a huge plus!).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Road Ready: A valid state driver's license and a comfort level with extended periods of driving and territory travel.
  • Skills: Strong communication, a knack for numbers (pricing, margins, discounts), and the ability to work seamlessly under limited supervision.
