We're looking for a result-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) based in the West Coast to join Anecdotes' Marketing team. This is a primarily outbound role, with roughly an 80/20 split between outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification. As a BDR, you'll play a major role in driving the growth of our customer base by proactively generating pipeline, engaging target accounts, and creating opportunities for the sales team.

What You'll Do
  • Research, prospect and qualify potential customers within an assigned North America territory
  • Own outbound pipeline generation through strategic prospecting into target accounts
  • Build pipeline by initiating conversations and developing relationships with potential customers through cold calling, personalized/research-backed emails, LinkedIn outreach, and events
  • Pair closely with an Account Executive to outbound prospect into key target accounts in your territory
  • Leverage sales and lead generation tools to identify prospects and activate them in multi-touch inbound & outbound sequences
  • Book discovery meetings for Regional Sales Managers that convert into pipeline opportunities
  • Run short qualification meetings with potential customers who inquire through the website
  • Collaborate with marketing on monthly campaigns and inbound/outbound initiatives
  • Experience with CRM and Sales Engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce/Hubspot, Outreach/Salesloft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Chili Piper, Nooks, Clay etc)
  • Previous B2B sales experience, preferably in an outbound SDR/BDR role within a SaaS startup environment
  • Confidence and consistency in cold outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Experience working in a remote environment preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales process, personas and sales motion; proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience or familiarity with the security & compliance domain; ideally with awareness of GRC compliance
  • Familiarity with Cloud services, Application Development lifecycle, Cloud Security

Requirements
