Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)
About the Role
We're looking for physics experts to help train and evaluate the next generation of AI models. Your deep knowledge of physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems - from undergraduate fundamentals to graduate-level challenges.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You choose when you work, and your expertise drives real impact on AI systems used by millions.

  • What You'll Do
    • Design rigorous, advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
    • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate structured reasoning and logical precision
    • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
    • Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics
    • Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps AI models improve over time
    Who You Are
    • Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree (or higher) in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
    • Strong problem-solving skills across multiple advanced physics domains
    • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
    • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating quality and accuracy
    • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
    • No prior AI experience required - your physics knowledge is what matters
    Nice to Have
    • Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation workflows
    • Familiarity with AI or large language model (LLM) systems
