Job description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to lead survey operations for projects across New York, New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, and upstate NY. This is an opportunity to step into a senior management role with the flexibility to work remotely while still driving high-profile land development projects across the region.

What You'll Do

  • Lead survey operations for a variety of land development projects across the tristate region.
  • Manage and mentor survey staff; set priorities, oversee workloads, and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Oversee field-to-finish operations: scheduling crews, reviewing field data, QA/QC, and final deliverables.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage client relationships.
  • Provide technical leadership on boundary analysis, plats, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic and construction surveys.
  • Leverage technology (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, GPS, laser scanning, etc.) to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with leadership on business developmentโ€”maintaining existing client relationships and building new ones.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in NY, NJ, CT, or PA (easy reciprocity into NY).
  • 8+ years of progressive survey experience (field + office).
  • Strong background in land development survey workโ€”including boundary, topo, ALTA.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey.
  • Experience with proposal preparation, project budgeting, and client management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor staff and manage multiple priorities.
