Government Leasing Manager

Lemont, IL (Hybrid - onsite first 3 months OR REMOTE with training onsite)

$110,000-$130,000 DOE - maybe more if you are a ROCK STAR

A privately owned asset management firm is seeking a Government Leasing Manager to join their growing team. This role focuses on negotiating and managing government leases across a portfolio of commercial properties, while also supporting the expansion of third-party leasing services.


What You'll Do:

  • Negotiate government leases across a portfolio of ~100 owned and 30 managed commercial properties
  • Support and expand third-party leasing services for small property owners navigating government leases
  • Proactively conduct outreach to property owners with expiring government leases
  • Manage 2-3 lease negotiations per month (volume may fluctuate)
  • Contribute to building out the business development side of the function (no rigid quotas currently)
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, tracking, and communication
  • Work within government leasing portals (experience a plus) to manage lease processes
  • Leverage systems such as Triple AP as needed (not required)

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of commercial leasing and lease contracting experience- REQUIRED
  • Background in government lease negotiations REQUIRED (GSA experience REQUIRED)
  • Comfortable with business development, outreach, or marketing efforts
  • Experience within a commercial real estate firm (e.g., leasing/procuring deals)
  • Assertive, solutions-oriented, and confident working with government entities
