About the Role
We're looking for a Sr. SEO Lead to lead and develop our SEO team while partnering closely with the Director of SEO Strategy. In this role, you'll combine people leadership with hands-on SEO expertise, helping both our clients and our team succeed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex SEO challenges, improving underperforming campaigns, and mentoring others. You'll serve as a strategic resource for our SEO team while remaining hands-on with technical SEO, website migrations, and emerging search technologies.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEO Leads, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Drive the overall success of the SEO team by ensuring client campaigns achieve performance goals and deliver measurable business results.
  • Partner with SEO Leads to develop and execute SEO strategies across multiple client accounts while serving as the primary escalation point for complex SEO challenges.
  • Help prioritize work, remove roadblocks, and elevate the team's technical expertise.
  • Diagnose underperforming campaigns and provide clear, data-driven recommendations to improve rankings, traffic, and lead generation.
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives, including website audits, site migrations, and post-launch performance analysis.
  • Research, test, and implement new SEO strategies, tools, and methodologies, with a focus on AI and emerging search technologies.
  • Develop and deliver SEO training materials and SEO best practices for internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on content, paid media, and broader digital marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor SEO performance, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to RR Digital's thought leadership through newsletters, videos, podcasts, social media, and internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience managing SEO campaigns in a professional environment.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing SEO professionals.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, local SEO, and website architecture.
  • Experience using industry-standard SEO tools, including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Trends, and Google Business Profile.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts or SEO projects simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting or leading website migrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience presenting SEO strategies and recommendations to clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agency experience.
  • Experience working with law firms or legal marketing clients.
  • Familiarity with E-E-A-T principles, AI Overviews, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and evolving AI search trends.
  • Experience with WordPress.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
