Google Ads Media Buyer - Ecomm/DTC Brands Only (100% Remote)

The Brick Agency Ltd

Gilbert, AZ โ€ข On-site, Remote

$50K - $84K/yr

Contractor

Re-posted 13 days ago

Job description

The Opportunity
We're not another generalist agency where Google is an afterthought bolted onto someone's Meta accounts.
Brick Social runs paid media and creative for e-commerce and DTC brands only - SHITI Coolers, Drake Waterfowl, DASH Dog Food, Spotlight Oral Care. One niche, total depth. Your accounts are Shopify-economy stores where Search, Shopping, and Performance Max capture the demand our Meta and creative teams generate. You see the whole engine, and you own the part of it that converts intent into revenue.
Most Google buyers work in a silo. Here you sit inside a pod - with the Meta buyer, a creative strategist, and editors shipping roughly 136 new assets a month. When Meta lights up a product, you catch the branded-search surge the same week. When your query data reveals a new angle, the creative team can have ads testing it within days. That loop is the job.
And you're paid like an owner, not a seat. Our pod profit share pays out 20% of pod profit above the margin floor, quarterly. When your accounts grow, your paycheck does - the math is shared openly, and it's the same math the founders use.
Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It): Own Google Ads end-to-end for a portfolio of e-commerce accounts - Search, Shopping, PMax, and feed health - pacing and scaling each against its revenue projection, with a documented launch process and a pod that actually feeds you creative. Hit revenue-to-projection, every account, every month.
The Role - What You'll Own
1. Account performance - structure, budgets, pacing, and scaling across Search, Shopping, and PMax for your portfolio (accounts like Drake Waterfowl, Wavy, Wowie, CornholeGamesUSA). You decide what gets tested, when, and why.
2. Feed and query intelligence - product feed health, query sculpting, negative discipline, and turning search-term data into insights your pod's strategist can build creative against.
3. The rhythm - fixed Mon/Wed/Fri launch windows, daily pulse (15 min), client deep dives on assigned days, Friday safety sweep so budgets never bleed over a weekend.
Your Targets (Radical Transparency)
You'll see your scorecard on Day 1. Reviews here have zero surprises.
KPIs
  • Revenue-to-Projection: 95%+
  • Spend Pacing to Plan: within ยฑ5%
  • On-Time Launches: 95%+
  • Error Rate (setup/tracking/feed/naming): <2%

You don't need to be perfect on day one. But you do need to be the kind of person who sees these numbers, gets excited, and immediately starts thinking about how to beat them.
Who You Are
Deal-Makers:
  • Agency-side, multi-account experience - you've carried a portfolio of ecomm accounts at once; you know how to prioritize across clients without dropping any
  • Hands-on Google buying, right now - in-platform weekly for the last 2+ years across Search, Shopping, and PMax (not just legacy Search)
  • Ecomm proof - you can name stores you scaled, with before-and-after spend and revenue numbers, and you know your way around a product feed
  • Tracking literacy - GA4, conversion tracking you set up yourself, and at least one attribution stack (Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar)
  • Communication - clear, proactive, client-ready; you confirm launches, flag risks early, and never get sassy under pressure
  • Time zone - 4+ hours of daily overlap with US Eastern, and you're at the Mon/Wed/Fri launch windows without fail

Deal-Breakers:
  • โŒ You haven't personally managed Google accounts in-platform in the last 2 years
  • โŒ Your ecomm experience is theoretical - you've only run lead-gen or local
  • โŒ You've never been accountable to a revenue or ROAS target - only activity metrics
  • โŒ You want set-and-forget PMax and call it strategy

You're Perfect If You:
  • Read search-term reports the way other people read the news - and get genuinely excited when a query pattern reveals what customers actually want
  • Notice a feed disapproval before Google emails about it
  • Bonus: you've run Shopping/PMax for Shopify-economy DTC brands and know what a healthy feed-to-revenue pipeline looks like

The Package
Compensation: Base $5,000-$7,000/month USD (based on experience and location) + quarterly pod profit share (20% of pod profit above the margin floor - rolling out now, math shared openly).
Perks That Matter:
  • 100% remote - always has been, always will be
  • A pod that feeds you creative and Meta context - no silo
  • Fixed launch windows and a Friday safety sweep - weekends stay weekends
  • Weekly group coaching/training hour + monthly 1:1
  • $5K referral bonus when you bring us an A-player
  • Scorecard shared Day 1 - no-surprise reviews at 30/60/90

Real Benefits: your work is visible in client revenue weekly; you join before we scale from 3 pods, so the seat grows as we do; and the founders answer Slack - no seven-layer hierarchy.
Our Values
1. Extreme Ownership - when something breaks in your account, you say 'that's mine' before anyone asks.
2. Growth - you're better at this job in December than you were in January, every year.
3. Exceeding Expectations - 'delivered as promised' is the floor, not the goal.
4. Openness - you speak up for what you believe in.
Include the number (1, 2, 3, or 4) of the value that resonates most with you in your application.
The Process
1. Apply with a short note (and your value number) - takes 10 minutes
2. One-way video screen (~15 min) - your recent work, a campaign win with real numbers, comp expectations
3. Skills test (1 hour, capped) - diagnose a real (anonymized) ecomm account with rising CPCs and softening ROAS on Shopping + PMax, and give us your next-30-days plan
4. Two interviews - a technical deep dive on your test, then a career + values conversation with Tony
5. Reference check โ†’ offer within a week of your first interview
[APPLY HERE]
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
PS: A few years ago I was the guy doing all the buying - 60-70 hour weeks, on every client call, personally covering accounts every time someone left. I built Brick's pod system so that never happens to anyone here: you get a real team around you, a documented launch process, targets you see on day one, and a share of the profit you create. If you're the kind of buyer who wants to own Google for brands people actually love - I'd love to meet you.
- Tony, Co-Founder of Brick Social
