We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Land Survey Drafter or SIT to join our dynamic and growing team.
Job Summary:
Senior Land Surveyor will be responsible for drafting survey documents, preparing maps and plats, and integrating field data into CAD or GIS software. This role is essential for supporting land surveying projects and ensuring accuracy in deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed survey drawings, plats, and maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D or related software.
  • Process field survey data to generate precise topographic and boundary maps.
  • Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to meet project specifications.
  • Review and analyze legal descriptions, deeds, and survey field notes.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • Mentor junior drafters or survey technicians when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field (preferred).
  • SIT certification or equivalent, registration or in-pursuit (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience and training towards licensure
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land survey drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software (preferred).
  • Proficiency in boundary, topographic, and construction surveying principles, including A.L.T.A. and commercial A.L.T.A. surveys with title review experience.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering plans, legal descriptions, and survey data.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
  • After 60 days: Medical, Vision, Dental, and Company-paid basic life insurance. Accident, critical illness, hospital, term and whole life offered on a voluntary basis.
  • After 90 days: 401(k) savings program, Paid Time Off.
  • After 6 months: responsible charge hour accrual opportunities.
