The Frontier Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in Valdosta, Georgia. The Licensed Professional Counselor will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough patient intakes that encompass diagnostic evaluations, functional assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with primary care providers.
• Providing brief, focused therapeutic interventions for individuals seeking mental health services, ensuring each interaction is driven by empathy and understanding.
• Working closely with primary care teams to address and manage psychosocial issues, including assisting in identifying which patients may benefit from specialized mental health care.
• Initiating follow-up sessions to monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of current treatment strategies, making modifications as necessary.
• Developing and implementing relapse prevention plans to help patients maintain stability in their mental health and fostering healthier lifestyle choices.
• Coordinating care delivery with other treatment providers and ensuring all health services for behavioral health are documented comprehensively for continuity of care.
• Offering education and self-management strategies to patients, empowering them to become active participants in their recovery journey.
• Maintaining up-to-date clinical records and collaborating with the healthcare team to discuss any patient needs and treatment adjustments.
• Providing insights and consultations to clinic management and other team members regarding behavioral services and outcome evaluation programs.
• Upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals while carrying out other duties as assigned.

The LPC will engage with a diverse patient population experiencing a variety of emotional and psychological challenges. This includes individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• Current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License.
• Strong foundation in mental health assessment and treatment planning, with experience in developmental psychopathology and various therapeutic methods.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring collaborative and patient-centered care delivery.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed clinical documentation and an understanding of relevant health regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and promote effective communication with them and their families.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• Knowledge and experience with DSM-IV diagnostic criteria and psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Proficiency in bilingual communication, specifically English and Spanish, as this aids in effectively reaching our diverse clientele.
• Prior experience working within a community health setting or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is highly desirable.

The compensation for this rewarding role ranges from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
