The opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Public Relations to drive public relations, media engagement, corporate storytelling, and executive visibility while helping ensure consistent external communications across the business.

As a key member of the Corporate Marketing team, this individual will partner closely with the VP Corporate Marketing, CMO, executive leadership, Legal, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Analyst Relations, and business leaders to strengthen Velotic's reputation across global markets.

The ideal candidate is a strategic PR leader, experienced media relations professional, and trusted executive advisor who can translate complex industrial software and digital transformation topics into compelling stories that resonate with customers, media, analysts, partners, investors, and the broader market.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

Public relations, media relations & external visibility

  • Develop and execute Velotic's global public relations and media relations strategy to increase awareness, credibility, and market differentiation.
  • Translate corporate priorities into an annual PR strategy with clear objectives, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business, technology, industrial, and trade media.
  • Develop proactive PR opportunities around corporate, product, customer, and partner stories, selecting the most effective approach based on the strength of the story and target audience.
  • Identify opportunities beyond traditional press releases to generate relevant, credible market visibility.

Corporate storytelling & communications

  • Shape corporate and product stories that strengthen Velotic's market position.
  • Partner across Marketing, Product, Legal, and business teams to ensure external communications are consistent and aligned.
  • Identify opportunities to translate corporate priorities, customer success, product innovation, and partnerships into relevant external stories.

Communications coordination

  • Establish practical processes and operating rhythms with communications stakeholders to align external communications priorities, messaging, and timing globally.
  • Support consistent external communications across regions and business teams while adapting activity to relevant markets and audiences.

Corporate announcements & newsroom

  • Support the corporate newsroom as a central channel for company news, announcements, and media resources.
  • Coordinate corporate, product, customer, and partner announcements with relevant stakeholders to maximise external visibility and impact.

Executive visibility & spokesperson support

  • Build executive visibility through media engagement, industry events, and relevant speaking opportunities.
  • Identify, prepare, and coach executive spokespeople to ensure effective communication across interviews and public engagements.
  • Lead media training and spokesperson readiness for proactive and reactive media engagement.

Agency leadership

  • Lead Velotic's PR agencies and communications partners, ensuring consistent strategy, execution, and performance across markets.
  • Manage agency selection, onboarding, performance, and investment to maximise business impact.

Measurement & optimisation

  • Establish and track KPIs for media coverage, share of voice, sentiment, executive visibility, and other agreed PR outcomes.
  • Measure programme effectiveness, communicate results to leadership, and use insights to continuously improve PR strategy and investment.
Qualifications

What you bring

  • 8–10+ years of experience leading public relations, corporate communications, or media relations within B2B technology, enterprise software, industrial technology, or SaaS organisations.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing global PR strategies that strengthen corporate reputation and market visibility.
  • Strong media relations experience, with a track record of developing compelling stories and securing meaningful coverage.
  • Experience supporting executive visibility, media engagement, and spokesperson preparation.
  • Experience managing PR agencies and external communications partners.
  • Strong executive communication, writing, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience operating successfully within complex, matrixed global organisations.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across Marketing, Product, Legal, Analyst Relations, and executive leadership.
