Job description

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM + On Call.


Summary:

Responsible for maintenance, inspection, repairs, and ensuring the efficient operation of retail fueling gas station facilities. Service Technicians evaluate, troubleshoot, and monitor all instrumentation systems, probe cleaning and replacement repairs and supervise mechanical and electrical subcontractors.


Responsibilities:
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant safety standards, protocols, and regulations.

  • Conducts routine inspections of service station facilities to identify maintenance needs.

  • Performs troubleshooting and repairs on fuel dispensers, pumps, underground storage tanks, lighting systems, POS consoles, and other equipment as needed.

  • Executes preventative maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, equipment lubrication, and system calibration.

  • Responds promptly to service calls and emergency situations that may take place outside of traditional work hours.

  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service histories.

  • Attends seminars and workshops to improve performance.

  • Perform start-ups of retail and commercial fueling stations.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Obtain and maintain certifications from original equipment manufacturers.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Heavy work frequently working in difficult work positions and/or with physical demands such as continuously lifting/moving materials greater than 70 pounds.

  • Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.

  • Job requires frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching and standing.

  • The ability to lift and remove a manhole cover.

Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

  • Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical systems required.

  • At least 2-5 years of previous or recent petroleum experience is preferred.

  • OSHA Certification is highly desirable.
