Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to gain a deep understanding of each client’s mental health needs.
• Develop and implement effective, personalized treatment plans using a range of therapeutic modalities.
• Provide individual therapy sessions that cater to the unique goals and challenges of each client.
• Monitor progress toward therapeutic goals and adapt treatment strategies as necessary.
• Utilize teletherapy platforms to offer flexibility in therapy sessions, particularly for clients facing accessibility issues.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation to comply with ethical standards and best practices in mental health care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and peer supervision.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed mental health counselor at Garden Grove Mental and Behavioral Center, you will work primarily with diverse populations facing a multitude of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clients come from varying backgrounds, and we emphasize the importance of culturally competent care to meet their individual needs.

Qualifications

• Active and valid state license in mental health as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple client caseloads effectively.

Preferred Experience

While all applicants with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates with experience in evidence-based therapy modalities and those who have previously worked in a community mental health setting. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Garden Grove Mental and Behavioral Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition to a robust financial compensation package, we provide:
